Thomas and Annie
A Man's Lifelong Journey Through A Woman's Heart
One might think that after more than forty years of savoring the same woman, I'd be bored by now. But when it comes to my Annie, nothing could be further from the truth.
I believe it was that slap that set us on the right path, clearing away all doubt and confirming our destiny, as cliché as that sounds.
What happened afterward, however, shredded my heart.
Just when I thought we'd reached our limit, she showed me how very wrong I was. My Annie. My very soul.
Thomas and Annie is a deeply emotional, sensual love story introducing you to the small-town community on the banks of Nickajack Lake in Southern Tennessee. Written sixteen years ago, this is the only first-person story Alys Locke has penned to date, told entirely from Thomas's perspective. This narrative naturally ushered in the rest of the Nickajack characters, building the close-knit community that defines the remainder of the series. Although all stories are standalone, Thomas and Annie offers a quiet nod to the other tales in this rural small town.
Please note: This short story contains strong language, adult themes, and consensually erotic love scenes. Suggested for readers 18 and over.
