Happy NOT April Fool's Day!!🫣

Yes - this is your April Newsletter from your favorite author!! 😉  Something about my pesky superstitions is making me send it out a day early ... no foolin'!  😂

Now ...  Let's get the business over with so we can have some FUN!

I want to apologize for the errors we found in our first release of Buck and Ruby. All my author friends told me to buckle up because I would be making mistakes as we navigate this GIANT learning curve. I didn't think I'd be making THOSE kinds of mistakes. All were my bad. I made changes after my editor sent me her final draft...which is my...yeah, mistake.  They have been corrected and uploaded. Lesson learned. Thank you to those who helped me find them and gave me grace. I'm finding ways for that not to happen again.

PHEW- that's over....lets move on!

Introducing CHOWDER! 🥹

This little guy is the newest member of the Alys Locke fam!!  By the time this email goes out (in two days) he'll be twice this size. The second picture kind of demonstrates that, except he is SSTTRREETTCCHHEED out trying to weenie up to his big sister––the very aloof and grumpy Lola...🙄
He's still fluffy and clumsy and huggy. And that puppy breath! As for Lola, the prissy feline who can't understand WHY anyone would EVER bring something as stinky and barky and obnoxious as a DOG into her world. (Dog is a four-letter word according to Lola) The second pic is part of a video where she promptly popped him across the nose and took off. I'm pretty sure you could hear that pop a mile away! 🤣  Just thought you'd enjoy a little puppy (and grumpy kitty) love!! 😻🐶

I've already told you this newsletter thing is a work in progress. (And THANK YOU for riding along with me!)  I wanted to let you know that you will see a mid-month newsletter coming your way in a couple of weeks. Raynor and Rose is now in the editing phase and we have shifted to the other stuff. Like finishing a new short story for you, and designing a cool new cover for Raynor. You see-I didn't realized until recently that these books are not written in sequence, but in parallel! Who knew? You would have thought these guys would have told me this up front. This is why I enjoy writing it as much as reading. I find out as a writer kind of like you do as a reader. So, join me as these characters whisper their stories to me through my keyboard.

I love writing these characters. I love learning about them. I love hearing their stories. But mostly, I love sharing them with you!  Thank you for loving them, too!
